What's on this worksheet
Two two-digit numbers, and every problem needs at least one regroup. Each sheet comes with an answer key on a separate page.
Teaching tips
- Say "10 ones make 1 ten" rather than "carry the 1". The words explain why the 1 moves.
- The stacked format gives the regrouped ten a clear place to go, at the top of the tens column.
- Mix in a no-regrouping sheet now and then so students check each column instead of carrying out of habit.
