What's on this worksheet

Two two-digit numbers, and every problem needs regrouping from the tens to the ones. Each sheet comes with an answer key on a separate page.

Teaching tips

  • The classic mistake is subtracting the smaller digit from the larger one in the ones column (52 − 38 = 26). Ask "Is there enough to take away?" for each column.
  • Cross out the tens digit and write the new value above it. A clear record makes errors easy to find.

How to use this worksheet maker

Press New worksheet for a fresh set of problems, then Print. To save a PDF instead, choose "Save as PDF" in the print window. Every sheet has a short code in the bottom corner. Copy the link to a sheet and you can print exactly the same problems again later, which is handy for retakes and for sharing with other teachers.
